Prof. Okey Billy Okoye (MFR) is a distinguished authority in the Oil, Gas, and Energy industry
He has over three decades of extensive, hands-on experience across the Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream sectors. At the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC), he held several high-level leadership positions, including:
- Group Executive Director, where he oversaw seven divisional and subsidiary Chief Executive Officers
- Group General Manager/CEO, Crude Oil Marketing Division, responsible for the marketing of Nigeria's equity crude oil and natural gas liquids
- Managing Director/CEO, NNPC Retail Ltd, where he led the operations of over 600 retail outlets across the country
- Executive Director, Commercials, PPMC Ltd, charged with ensuring national security of petroleum product supply
- General Manager, Commercial, Brass LNG Ltd, where he managed the Gas Supply, LNG/LPG Marketing, and Shipping departments
Prof Billy Okoye is the Coordinator of the Oil, Gas and Energy Marketing Unit at the University of Abuja Business School and also lectures Energy Management in the UNN Business School.
